Happy (almost) New Year, my people!
It kills me how every January 1st people are all “I’m going to be a brand new, better version of myself!” If you are, kudos to you. But most likely nothing is going to change. You might go to the gym a few extra times but 3 weeks from now, your New Year’s Resolution will be long forgotten.
So I say why bother?!
Skip your future diet plans and go ahead and make this Chex Mix! Not that this Chex Mix is actually that bad for you (especially compared to a lot of the other gut-bombs that I make for you guys).
But it’s perfect for snacking and keeping your guests happy (and slightly sobered up) on NYE! Get after it!
INGREDIENTS
3 cups Corn Chex
3 cups Wheat Chex
3 cups Rice Chex
2 cups Pretzel Snaps (the square ones)
2 cups Mixed Nuts
1 stick Butter
3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
3 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
2 teaspoons Lawry's Seasoned Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
DIRECTIONS
- Combine the cereals, pretzels, and nuts in a large bowl.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add remaining ingredients and microwave until butter is melted. Stir together and toss into the cereal mixture, stirring as you go.
- Dump mix onto a jelly roll pan (baking sheet with sides), and bake in a 250-degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool and store in an airtight container.
